Rail Photography Photographic Tools & Equipment |
The primary piece of photographic equipment in Judd's arsenal is a Canon D60 digital camera. The camera has a maximum resolution of 3072 x 2048, and produces an image size of about 7.5MB, when set to store images in a lossless format and 2.5MB when set to the highest quality JPEG. Lenses include the following: •
28mm-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Other camera equipment includes a Nikon Coolpix 995 digital camera, with a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. Accessories include a 3X telephoto lens adapter and a wide-angle lens adapter. Some useful “non-photographic” equipment used on photo expeditions include a 4WD SUV, radio scanner and a pair of “FRS” radios (for multi-person communication). Paintshop Pro 7 is used for photo resizing and other image
processing. Judd has found PSP 7 to be a very powerful and affordable
tool for working with images. Microsoft FrontPage 2002 is used for
creating and maintaining the website for “A Distant Signal”. |
